Honey Garlic Chicken

- 2 boneless chicken breasts or 6–8 thighs (cut into bite-size pieces)
- Salt & black pepper
- ½ cup cornstarch or flour (for coating)
- 2–3 tbsp oil (for frying)
Honey garlic sauce:
- â…“ cup honey
- ÂĽ cup soy sauce
- 4–5 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, optional for thickness)
- Chili flakes (optional)
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1. Prep the chicken
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Lightly coat in cornstarch or flour for a crispier texture.
2. Cook the chicken
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry chicken pieces until golden and cooked through (5–7 minutes).
- Remove and set aside.
3. Make the sauce
- In the same pan, lower heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds (don’t burn it).
- Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger.
- Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker glaze.
4. Combine
- Return chicken to the pan.
- Toss until fully coated and glossy.
