  • 2 boneless chicken breasts or 6–8 thighs (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • ½ cup cornstarch or flour (for coating)
  • 2–3 tbsp oil (for frying)

Honey garlic sauce:

  • â…“ cup honey
  • ÂĽ cup soy sauce
  • 4–5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry, optional for thickness)
  • Chili flakes (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the chicken

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly coat in cornstarch or flour for a crispier texture.

2. Cook the chicken

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry chicken pieces until golden and cooked through (5–7 minutes).
  • Remove and set aside.

3. Make the sauce

  • In the same pan, lower heat.
  • Add garlic and sautĂ© for 30 seconds (don’t burn it).
  • Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger.
  • Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker glaze.

4. Combine

  • Return chicken to the pan.
  • Toss until fully coated and glossy.

🍽️ Serve with

  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • Fried rice
  • Noodles or stir-fried vegetables
  • Garnish: sesame seeds + green onions

🔥 Tips for best results

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when frying chicken—crispiness depends on space
  • Fresh garlic gives a stronger, cleaner flavor than powder
  • Let the sauce reduce slightly before adding chicken for a sticky glaze
  • Add a splash of water if it gets too thick too fast
