Air Fryer Salmon Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 can (about 14–15 oz) salmon, drained and flaked
    or 1 1/2 cups cooked fresh salmon, flaked
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional, helps moisture)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional, for flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1–2 tablespoons chopped parsley or dill (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1–2 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)
  • Cooking spray or light oil

Preparation

1. Mix ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, mustard, onion, herbs, and seasonings
  • Mix until it holds together but is not too wet

2. Shape patties

  • Form into small patties, about 2–3 inches wide
  • Press gently so they hold shape
  • If mixture is too soft, add a little more breadcrumbs

3. Chill (recommended)

  • Place patties in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes
  • This helps them firm up and prevents breaking

Air Frying Instructions

Preheat

  • Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3–5 minutes

Cook

  • Lightly spray air fryer basket with oil
  • Place patties in a single layer without overcrowding
  • Lightly spray tops of patties with oil for better browning

Time and temperature

  • Cook at 190°C for 8–10 minutes
  • Flip halfway through cooking
  • Cook until golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with tartar sauce, yogurt sauce, or garlic mayo
  • Pair with salad, rice, or inside a sandwich or burger bun
