Here’s a simple, delicious cauliflower steaks recipe you can make at home 🥦✨

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional but great)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Optional toppings: Parmesan, fresh herbs, lemon juice, tahini sauce, or chimichurri

How to Make Cauliflower Steaks

  1. Prep the cauliflower
Remove the outer leaves. Trim the stem just enough so the cauliflower sits flat, but keep it intact.

  2. Slice into steaks
Cut the cauliflower straight down the middle, then slice each half into ¾–1 inch thick “steaks.” (You’ll get 2–4 good steaks; save extra florets for roasting.)

  3. Season
Brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and spices.

  4. Cook (choose one method):
    Oven:

    • Roast at 425°F / 220°C for 25–30 minutes

    • Flip halfway until golden and tender

    Pan:

    • Sear in a skillet over medium heat, 4–5 minutes per side

    Grill:

    • Grill over medium heat, 5–7 minutes per side

  5. Finish & serve
Add toppings like Parmesan, a squeeze of lemon, or a drizzle of sauce.

Serving Ideas

  • As a main dish with grains or salad

  • As a side for pasta or roasted veggies

  • With hummus, pesto, or yogurt-based sauce
