Keto Bacon-Wrapped Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks (full-fat, low-moisture)

  • 8 slices bacon (thin cut works best)

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes

  • Cooking spray or parchment paper


Preparation

  1. Freeze the cheese sticks
    Place cheese sticks in the freezer for at least 30–45 minutes. This helps prevent cheese from leaking during cooking.

  2. Preheat oven
    Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.


Assemble

  1. Unwrap frozen cheese sticks.

  2. Sprinkle each cheese stick lightly with garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.

  3. Wrap one slice of bacon tightly around each cheese stick, starting at one end and slightly overlapping as you go.

  4. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Tip: If bacon is thick, partially cook it for 2–3 minutes first so it crisps evenly.


Bake

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through.

  • For extra crisp bacon, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely.

Cheese may ooze slightly — that’s normal and still delicious.

  • Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes

  • Turn halfway through

Grill

  • Cook over indirect heat for 15–20 minutes

  • Move to direct heat briefly to crisp bacon


Serving
