🧺 Ingredients

Keto pie crust (fathead style):

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese

  • ¾ cup almond flour

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp salt

Meat filling:

  • 250 g ground beef (or chicken)

  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil

  • ½ small onion, very finely chopped (optional for strict keto)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup mushrooms, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp dried thyme or oregano

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or cream cheese

Optional topping:

  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten)

  • Sesame seeds (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the crust
    Melt mozzarella and cream cheese together (microwave or stovetop).
    Stir in almond flour, egg, and salt. Knead until a soft dough forms.
    Chill 10 minutes for easy handling.

  2. Cook the filling
    Heat butter in a pan. Add meat and cook until browned.
    Add onion (if using), garlic, mushrooms, and spices.
    Stir in cream or cream cheese. Cook until thick. Cool slightly.

  3. Shape pies
    Roll dough between parchment paper.
    Cut circles. Spoon filling onto half, fold over, and seal edges.

  4. Bake
    Place on lined tray. Brush with egg wash.
    Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden.

  5. Rest & enjoy
    Let cool 5 minutes—crust gets even flakier ✨

  • Chill dough if it gets sticky

  • Finely chopped filling = better pies

  • Add cheddar for extra richness

  • Air-fry at 180°C for 10–12 min if you want extra crisp
