Ingredients

4 small boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ lbs total)

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons light butter (or 1 tbsp regular butter + 1 tbsp olive oil)

1 tablespoon olive oil
-
Juice of 1 medium lemon

Zest of ½ lemon
-
½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon paprika
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken

Pat chicken breasts dry.

Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
2. Sear the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
3. Cook the Green Beans

In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of the butter.

Add green beans and sauté for 3–4 minutes.

Pour in chicken broth, cover, and cook 5–6 minutes until tender-crisp.
4. Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

Push green beans to one side of the skillet.

Add remaining butter and minced garlic to the empty space.

Cook garlic for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).

Stir in lemon juice and zest.
5. Combine Everything

Return chicken to the skillet.

Spoon sauce over the chicken.

Simmer together for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
6. Finish & Serve

Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
