Cheesy Meatball & Potato Bake
🛒 Ingredients
- 4–5 medium potatoes (boiled & sliced)
- 12–16 meatballs (beef or mixed)
- 1½ cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or Gruyère-style)
- 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup cream or milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried herbs (thyme or Italian seasoning)

1. Prep the potatoes
- Boil potatoes until just fork-tender (don’t overcook).
- Let cool slightly, then slice into rounds.
2. Cook the meatballs
- If raw, brown them in a pan until cooked through.
- If pre-cooked, just warm them slightly.
3. Build the layers
- Grease a baking dish.
- Add a layer of sliced potatoes.
- Add onions, garlic, and meatballs.
- Season lightly.
- Sprinkle cheese.
- Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
4. Add cream
- Pour cream or milk evenly over the dish.
- Dot with butter for extra richness.
5. Bake
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes
- Top should be golden and bubbling.
