Air Fryer Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer
    Set to 320°F (160°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients
    In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and melted butter.
  4. Combine
    Pour wet into dry and mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
  5. Prepare pan
    Grease a small air fryer-safe pan (6–7 inch works best).
  6. Cook
    Pour batter into the pan and place in the air fryer.
    Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 18–22 minutes.
  7. Check doneness
    Insert a toothpick—if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
  8. Cool & serve
    Let it sit for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

🔥 Tips for that skillet-style vibe:

  • Brush the top with melted butter right after cooking
  • Add a little extra sugar for a sweeter version
  • Toss in corn kernels or cheese for variation
