Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes
Ingredients
- 3–4 medium potatoes
- 1–2 tbsp oil
- Salt
- Optional: black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, chili flakes
Method
- Slice thin
Cut potatoes into thin rounds (about 2–3 mm). Thinner slices = crispier results. - Soak (important)
Soak slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove starch.
Then drain and dry very well with a towel. - Season
Toss with oil, salt, and any spices you like. - Air fry
- Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F)
- Arrange slices in a single layer (work in batches if needed)
- Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping/shaking halfway
- Final crisp
Increase to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes for extra crunch.
Flavor ideas
- Masala style: salt + chili powder + chaat masala
- Garlic herb: garlic powder + dried oregano
- Cheesy: sprinkle grated cheese right after cooking
Tips for best crispiness
- Dry the slices completely after soaking
- Don’t overlap too much
- Remove smaller slices early—they cook faster
- They crisp more as they cool slightly
