Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3–4 medium potatoes
  • 1–2 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • Optional: black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, chili flakes

Method

  1. Slice thin
Cut potatoes into thin rounds (about 2–3 mm). Thinner slices = crispier results.
  2. Soak (important)
Soak slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove starch.
Then drain and dry very well with a towel.
  3. Season
Toss with oil, salt, and any spices you like.
  4. Air fry
    • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F)
    • Arrange slices in a single layer (work in batches if needed)
    • Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping/shaking halfway
  5. Final crisp
Increase to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes for extra crunch.

Flavor ideas

  • Masala style: salt + chili powder + chaat masala
  • Garlic herb: garlic powder + dried oregano
  • Cheesy: sprinkle grated cheese right after cooking

Tips for best crispiness

  • Dry the slices completely after soaking
  • Don’t overlap too much
  • Remove smaller slices early—they cook faster
  • They crisp more as they cool slightly
