Ingredients

  • 3–4 medium potatoes, sliced or cubed
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1½–2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh chives or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes
    • Slice thin (like in your photo) or cube.
    • Soak in cold water for 10–15 minutes, then dry well (helps crispiness).
  2. Season
    • Toss potatoes with oil, salt, pepper, and seasonings.
  3. Air fry (first round)
    • Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
    • Cook potatoes for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway.
  4. Add onions
    • Toss sliced onions with a tiny bit of oil.
    • Add to the basket and mix with potatoes.
  5. Air fry (finish)
    • Cook another 8–10 minutes at 200°C (400°F), shaking once or twice, until golden and slightly crispy.
  6. Finish & serve
    • Taste and adjust salt.
    • Sprinkle fresh chives/parsley on top.

🔥 Tips for that crispy look

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket—cook in batches if needed.
  • A light spray of oil halfway through boosts browning.
  • If you want extra crisp, cook potatoes alone a bit longer before adding onions.
