HOW TO MAKE EASY AIR FRYER BURGERS
To a make hamburgers in the air fryer, you’ll obviously need an air fryer and the following:
Ground beef
Worcestershire sauce
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
You can obviously use whatever you like to season your burgers, but I keep it simple with just a few select ingredients. Once all of the ingredients are mixed together, start forming the burger patties.
HOW DO YOU SHAPE HAMBURGER PATTIES?
I have three favorite ways to shape burger patties:
Use a burger press (this is my hubby’s preferred method).
Try pressing the beef into a mason jar lid to create uniform-sized burgers.
Just use your hands? (this is my preferred method).
Go ahead and place the patties into the air fryer basket. You want to make sure you don’t stack them or they won’t cook evenly.
It only takes about 10 minutes until the burgers will be ready. I always like to flip them at about seven minutes.
TO WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD I COOK MY BURGER?
To be honest, burger temps are pretty subjective. I like mine medium rare while I have friends who will only eat them well done.
Here’s a quick internal temp reference for cooking your burgers (for a more comprehensive temperature cooking guide, click here):
Well Done – 160º
Medium Well – 150º – 155º
Medium – 140º – 145º
Medium Rare – 130º – 135º
Rare – 120º – 125º
If you’re cooking larger patties, your cook time will be longer. You’ll most likely need to cook them for 16-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
WHAT ARE THE BEST BURGER TOPPINGS?
Again, very subjective, but here’s a short list of some of my favorites:
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
Eggs
Lettuce
Avocado
Bacon
Pickles
Onions
Cheese
Condiments
