Baked Apple Fritters (Quick & Easy)

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1½ cups apples (peeled & diced small)

For glaze:

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper

2. Make Batter

  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter
  • Combine wet + dry ingredients
  • Fold in diced apples

3. Shape & Bake

  • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto tray (like rough fritters)
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden

4. Glaze

  • Mix icing sugar, milk, and vanilla
  • Drizzle over warm fritters

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture
  • Add nutmeg for extra flavor
  • For crispier tops, broil (top heat) for 1–2 minutes
