Chickpea Balls
🧾 Ingredients

2 cups cooked chickpeas (boiled or canned, well drained)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

1 tsp cumin powder
-
1 tsp coriander powder
-
½ tsp paprika or chili powder

Salt & black pepper to taste

2–3 tbsp chickpea flour (besan) or breadcrumbs
-
½ tsp baking powder (optional, for light texture)

Oil for frying
👩🍳 Instructions

Mash or pulse chickpeas until coarse (don’t make it a paste).

Transfer to a bowl and add onion, garlic, herbs, spices, salt & pepper.

Mix in chickpea flour and baking powder until a soft dough forms.

Shape into small balls.

Fry in medium-hot oil until golden and crispy.

OR Bake: 200°C / 400°F for 18–20 minutes

OR Air fry: 190°C / 375°F for 12–15 minutes

Drain and serve hot.
