Egg Toast in the Air Frye

Cheesy Egg Toast Air Fryer Recipe

Ingredients (Makes 4 pieces)

  • 4 bread slices (thick bread works best)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 2 small sausages or hotdog slices (optional)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped tomato
  • 1 tbsp chopped capsicum/bell pepper
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs or oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Butter or oil for brushing

Optional:

  • Pizza sauce or ketchup
  • Jalapeños
  • Sweet corn

Instructions

1. Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a bowl, whisk:

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili flakes
  • Herbs

Mix in:

  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Capsicum
  • Sausage slices
  • Half of the cheese

2. Assemble the Toast

  • Lightly flatten the center of each bread slice using a spoon.
  • Spread a little pizza sauce or ketchup if desired.
  • Spoon the egg mixture onto each slice.
  • Top with remaining cheese.

3. Air Fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C / 350°F for 3 minutes.
  • Brush bread edges lightly with butter.
  • Place toast in the air fryer basket.

Cook at:

  • 180°C / 350°F for 8–10 minutes

Cook until:

  • Egg is set
  • Cheese melts
  • Edges become crispy and golden

4. Serve

Garnish with:

  • Extra herbs
  • Chili flakes
  • Ketchup or mayo dip

Serve hot.
