These keto soft pretzels have the perfect texture — golden on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. The combination of mozzarella and almond flour creates a dough that mimics the classic pretzel bite while staying completely gluten- and grain-free. The rich butter brushed on top adds that irresistible shine and a bakery-style flavor that makes them impossible to resist.

Enjoy these pretzels fresh out of the oven with a side of warm cheese dip, tangy mustard, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon “sugar” (using erythritol) for a sweet twist. Each pretzel is low in carbs but high in flavor and satisfaction, making them a perfect companion for movie nights, parties, or when you’re craving comfort food without breaking ketosis.

Keto Soft Pretzels Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 oz cream cheese

  • 1 ½ cups almond flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 large egg (plus 1 beaten egg for egg wash)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • Coarse sea salt for topping (optional)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese. Heat in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth and melted.

  3. Mix the dough: Add almond flour, baking powder, salt, and one egg to the melted cheese mixture. Mix well until a smooth dough forms. (If sticky, chill for 10–15 minutes or lightly oil your hands.)

  4. Shape the pretzels: Divide the dough into 6–8 portions. Roll each into a long rope and twist into a pretzel shape.

  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle lightly with coarse salt.

  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter while warm.

  7. Serve warm with keto cheese sauce, mustard, or garlic butter for dipping.
