Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles
Ingredients
Main
- 8 oz noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, or ramen)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 3 green onions, sliced
Sauce
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or water)
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
Instructions
- Cook noodles
Boil according to package directions. Drain and set aside. - Brown the beef
In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed. - Add aromatics
Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. - Make the sauce
Add soy sauce, brown sugar, broth, and hoisin. Stir and bring to a simmer. - Thicken
Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce becomes glossy and slightly thick. - Combine
Toss in cooked noodles and green onions. Mix until everything is well coated. - Finish
Drizzle sesame oil on top and give it a final toss.
