🧡 Vegan Orange Cauliflower (Crispy & Sticky)
A 100% vegan take on orange chicken—crispy cauliflower tossed in a glossy, sweet-tangy orange sauce. Crowd-pleaser every time ✨
🥦 Ingredients
Cauliflower

1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets

½ cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)

½ cup cornstarch

Âľ cup water or unsweetened plant milk

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt
Orange Sauce

Âľ cup fresh orange juice
-
Zest of 1 orange
-
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
-
2–3 tbsp sugar or maple syrup
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
-
1 tsp grated ginger
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

Optional: chili flakes 🌶️
🔥 Instructions

Coat: Mix flour, cornstarch, water, garlic powder, and salt. Toss cauliflower to coat well.

Bake or Fry:

Bake: 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 min, flipping once, until golden and crispy.

OR Air-fry: 200°C for 15–18 min, shaking halfway.

Sauce: Simmer orange juice, zest, soy sauce, sweetener, vinegar, ginger, and garlic for 5 min. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thick and glossy.

Toss: Add crispy cauliflower to the sauce and gently coat.

Finish: Sprinkle sesame seeds & chopped spring onions.
