Vegan Blueberry Smoothie

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen)

¾–1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, oat, soy, or cashew)
For Creaminess (optional but recommended)

2–3 tablespoons unsweetened vegan yogurt
or -
1 tablespoon almond butter or cashew butter
Flavor and Nutrition Add-Ins (optional)

1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or agave syrup, to taste

Small pinch of cinnamon or cardamom
Instructions

Add the plant milk to the blender first to help prevent sticking.

Add the banana, vegan yogurt or nut butter, vanilla extract, and any sweetener.

Add the frozen blueberries last.

Blend on low speed for about 10 seconds, then increase to high speed and blend for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth.

Check consistency and adjust:

Add a small amount of plant milk if too thick.

Add more frozen blueberries if too thin.

Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
