🌱 Vegan Sesame Cauliflower & Broccoli (Sticky, Crispy & Cozy)

This is that sweet-savory sesame glaze everyone loves—wrapped around crispy cauliflower and tender broccoli. Weeknight win 🥦✨

🥕 Ingredients

Veggies

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Crispy Coating (optional but 🔥)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (or GF flour)

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • Âľ cup water

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

Sesame Sauce

  • ÂĽ cup soy sauce or tamari

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

Toppings

  • Sesame seeds

  • Sliced green onions

🔥 Instructions

  1. Prep & coat (optional): Mix coating ingredients. Toss cauliflower in batter.

  2. Bake/Air-fry:

    • Bake: 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 min, flipping once.

    • Air-fry: 200°C for 15–18 min, shaking halfway.

  3. Broccoli: Steam or blanch broccoli 2–3 min until bright green; drain well.

  4. Sauce: Simmer soy sauce, sweetener, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thick.

  5. Toss: Combine crispy cauliflower, broccoli, and sauce.

  6. Finish: Sprinkle sesame seeds & green onions.

🍚 Serve With

  • Steamed rice or quinoa

  • Noodles

  • In lettuce cups

  • Oil-free: Skip sesame oil; add a splash of veg broth
