Easy vegan naan bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • Β½ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Β½ cup plain plant-based yogurt (soy or coconut works best)

  • ¼–⅓ cup warm water (as needed)

Optional Garlic Topping

  • 2 tbsp oil or vegan butter

  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Chopped coriander (cilantro)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Add oil and plant yogurt, mix well.

  3. Gradually add warm water to form a soft dough.

  4. Knead 2–3 minutes until smooth.

  5. Cover and rest 20 minutes.

  6. Divide dough into balls and roll into oval naan shapes.

  7. Heat a pan on medium-high.

  8. Cook naan 1–2 minutes per side until bubbles form and golden spots appear.

  9. Brush with garlic oil/butter and sprinkle coriander.
