Air Fryer Fluffy Butter Biscuits (10 Minutes)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cut into small cubes)
  • 3/4 cup cold milk (add a little more if needed)

Preparation

1. Mix dry ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar

2. Cut in butter

  • Add cold butter cubes
  • Use fingers, fork, or pastry cutter to mix until the texture looks like coarse crumbs
  • Small butter bits are important for flakiness

3. Add milk

  • Pour in cold milk gradually
  • Mix gently until dough just comes together
  • Do not overmix or biscuits will become dense

Shaping

  • Lightly flour a surface
  • Pat dough to about 1/2 inch thickness
  • Fold it over itself 2–3 times for layers
  • Flatten again and cut into round or square biscuits

Air Frying Instructions

Preheat

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes

Cook

  • Lightly grease or line air fryer basket
  • Place biscuits in a single layer, slightly spaced apart

Time

  • Cook at 180°C for 8–10 minutes
  • Check at 8 minutes; continue until tops are golden brown

Result

  • Soft, fluffy inside
  • Slightly crisp, buttery crust outside
  • Light layered texture
