This Air Fryer Apple Pie Taquitos recipe is truly a delicious dessert! Whether it’s apple season or not, you can make this any time of year! This is one of those easy recipes that the whole family will love.
Ingredients:
Apple pie filling– you can use canned filling like Comstock Apple Pie filling, or this easy air fryer apples recipe!
Soft flour tortillas
Butter
Sugar
Ground cinnamon
How to make Apple Pie Taquitos in Air Fryer
- Lay tortillas flat, and then spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling across the center of the tortilla.
Roll tightly and then brush the rolled taquito with melted butter.
- In a shallow, flat dish, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Roll the buttered taquito in the mixture, coating the outside.
- Place in the air fryer basket, seam side down, without stacking or overlapping.
- Air fry at 350 degrees F for 9-11 minutes until the taquito is golden and crispy. Using tongs, flip taquitos over, and air fry for another 3-4 minutes.
I make this recipe in my Cosori Air Fryer. Depending on your air fryer, size and wattages, cooking time may need to be adjusted 1-2 minutes.
Variations
Use homemade apple pie filling – If you don’t have enough filling from a can, you can use homemade filling instead!
Add toppings – A thin layer of caramel sauce on top is a great idea! You can even drizzle maple syrup and tsp cinnamon on top as well. If you have a crazy sweet tooth, you’ll love this!
How to Serve
You can eat these like they are or add anything you want to the top of the taquitos. Since it tastes like traditional apple pie, it’s perfect for the fall season or a great way to make a simple recipe. I love the instant gratification of the very first bite of this great dessert.
