Air Fryer Cheesy Puff Pastry Squares
These golden, flaky puff pastry squares are loaded with melted cheese and savory flavor, then crisped beautifully in the air fryer. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, parties, or alongside soup and salad.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian herbs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
1. Prepare the Puff Pastry
Lightly flour your work surface.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry slightly to smooth the folds.
Cut into equal rectangles or squares.
2. Make the Filling
In a bowl, combine:
- mozzarella
- cheddar
- cream cheese
- garlic powder
- herbs
- black pepper
Mix well.
3. Fill the Pastry
Place a spoonful of filling onto half of the pastry pieces.
Top with another pastry square.
Seal the edges using a fork.
Brush the tops with beaten egg for a shiny golden crust.
Optional: sprinkle extra cheese or herbs on top.
4. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat air fryer to 180°C / 350°F for 3–5 minutes.
Line the basket with perforated parchment paper if needed.
5. Air Fry
Arrange the pastry squares in a single layer, leaving space between them.
Cook at 180°C / 350°F for 8–12 minutes, or until:
- deeply golden
- puffed
- crisp on the outside
Depending on your air fryer size, cook in batches.
