Air Fryer Mandarin Cream Dessert (with Crispy Base)

đź›’ Ingredients

For the creamy mix:

  • 2 cups whipped topping (or whipped cream)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 can mandarin oranges (drained well)

For the air fryer base:

  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or digestive biscuits
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the crispy base (air fryer part)

  • Mix crushed crackers, melted butter, and sugar.
  • Press into a small air fryer-safe dish or pan.
  • Air fry at 160°C (320°F) for 5–7 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Let it cool completely—it will crisp up more.

2. Make the creamy filling

  • Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fold in whipped topping gently.
  • Add drained mandarin segments and mix lightly.

3. Assemble

  • Spread the creamy mixture over the cooled base.
  • Top with extra mandarins if you like.

4. Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours before serving (this is key for texture).

🔥 Optional upgrades

  • Add shredded coconut for a tropical vibe
  • Mix in mini marshmallows for a fluff-style dessert
  • Sprinkle toasted nuts from the air fryer (3–4 minutes at 160°C)

⚠️ Quick reality check

Trying to “air fry” the creamy mixture itself won’t work—it’ll melt and separate. The air fryer is best used here for texture (base or toppings), not the cream.
