Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas
Cheesy pepperoni pizza quesadillas are the ultimate comfort-food crossover, combining everything people love about pizza with the quick, golden crunch of a quesadilla. Crispy tortillas wrap around gooey melted cheese, savory pepperoni, and warm pizza-seasoned flavors, creating a handheld meal that’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or an after-school snack. Each bite delivers stretchy cheese, slightly crisped pepperoni, and that familiar pizza taste without needing an oven.
What makes these quesadillas especially irresistible is their texture contrast. The outside turns perfectly golden and crisp in the skillet, while the inside stays soft, cheesy, and rich. The pepperoni adds a slightly smoky, salty punch, and the marinara brings just enough tang to balance the cheese. They’re fast to make, endlessly customizable, and guaranteed to disappear quickly.
Ingredients (Makes 4 quesadillas)
-
4 large flour tortillas
-
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup shredded provolone or cheddar (optional, for extra flavor)
-
20–24 pepperoni slices
-
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
-
Butter or olive oil, for the pan
For Serving
-
Warm marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping
Instructions
1. Assemble the Quesadillas
Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Sprinkle an even layer of mozzarella cheese over half of each tortilla. Add a layer of pepperoni slices, then sprinkle lightly with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Top with a little more cheese—this helps everything stick together when melted.
Fold each tortilla in half to form a half-moon shape.
2. Cook Until Golden
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or olive oil. Place one or two quesadillas in the pan, depending on size. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy and the cheese inside is fully melted.
Press gently with a spatula to help the cheese melt evenly and hold the filling together.
3. Slice and Serve
Remove the quesadillas from the pan and let them rest for about a minute before slicing into wedges. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
