🥬🍗 Keto Chinese Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or sesame oil

  • 450 g (1 lb) chicken breast or thighs, thinly sliced

  • 3 cups green cabbage, thinly shredded

  • 1 cup napa cabbage (or more green cabbage)

  • 1 small bell pepper, sliced (optional, keep light for keto)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (low-carb)

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

  • ½ tsp white pepper or black pepper

  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (finish)

  • Sesame seeds & green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.

  2. Add chicken, season lightly with pepper, and stir-fry until cooked and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger; sauté 15–20 seconds.

  4. Add cabbage (and bell pepper if using). Stir-fry 3–4 minutes until just tender but still crisp.

  5. Return chicken to pan. Add soy sauce and rice vinegar. Toss well.

  6. Finish with sesame oil and chili flakes. Adjust seasoning.

Keto Tips

  • Use chicken thighs for juicier results

  • Skip carrots to keep carbs ultra-low

  • Add a pinch of xanthan gum if you want a lightly saucy coating
