Honey Mustard Chicken with Roasted Asparagus & Cheese
๐ Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp whole grain mustard (optional for texture)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
For the Asparagus
- 1 bunch asparagus (trimmed)
- 1โ2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- ยฝ cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or parmesan)
๐ช Instructions
1. Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF).
2. Make Honey Mustard Sauce
In a bowl, mix:
- Honey
- Dijon mustard
- Whole grain mustard
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Paprika
3. Prepare Chicken
- Place chicken in a baking dish
- Season with salt and pepper
- Pour the honey mustard sauce over it, coating well
4. Prepare Asparagus
- Spread asparagus on a baking tray
- Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper
- Toss to coat evenly
5. Bake
- Put chicken and asparagus in the oven
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes
6. Add Cheese
- Remove asparagus, sprinkle cheese over it
- Return to oven for 5 more minutes until melted and slightly golden
7. Serve
Plate the juicy honey mustard chicken alongside cheesy roasted asparagus. Spoon extra sauce from the pan over the chicken.
