Vegan Orange Cauliflower (Crispy & Saucy)

Crispy Cauliflower
Ingredients

1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets

¾ cup all-purpose flour

¾ cup water or plant milk
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
Oil spray or 2 tbsp oil
Method

Heat oven to 220°C / 425°F (or air fryer 190°C).

Whisk flour, water, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into a thick batter.

Dip florets to coat, shake off excess.

Bake on lined tray 20–25 min, flipping once, until crisp
(Air fryer: 12–15 min).
Orange Sauce
Ingredients

½ cup fresh orange juice
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
¼ cup sugar (or maple syrup)
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
-
1 tbsp orange zest
-
1 tsp grated ginger
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
Method

Simmer all sauce ingredients except cornstarch slurry for 3–4 min.

Stir in slurry; cook until glossy and thick.
Finish
-
Toss crispy cauliflower in the hot orange sauce.

Garnish with sesame seeds & green onions.

Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
