simple vegan Blueberry Banana Smoothie

Ingredients (1–2 servings)

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup almond milk (or other plant milk)

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar (optional, for sweetness)

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • 3–4 ice cubes (optional if using fresh fruit)


Equipment

  • Blender

  • Measuring cup

  • Glass for serving


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the fruit

Peel the banana and break it into chunks. If using fresh blueberries, rinse them under cold water.

2. Add ingredients to the blender

Place the following into the blender:

  • Banana chunks

  • Blueberries

  • Almond milk

  • Maple syrup (if using)

  • Vanilla extract

  • Ice cubes

3. Blend

Blend on high speed for 30–45 seconds until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
If the smoothie is too thick, add 2–3 tablespoons more almond milk and blend again.

4. Taste and adjust

Taste the smoothie. Add more maple syrup if you want it sweeter and blend briefly again.

5. Serve

Pour into a glass and serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
