🍎 Vegan Apple Crisp (Easy, Cozy & Comforting)

Serves: 6 | Time: ~45 minutes

🍏 Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 5–6 apples (Granny Smith or Fuji), peeled & sliced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat)

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • ⅓ cup coconut oil (solid) or vegan butter

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Mix apples with lemon juice, sugar, spices, cornstarch & vanilla. Spread evenly in dish.

  3. Make topping:
    Combine oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon & salt. Rub in coconut oil/vegan butter until crumbly.

  4. Assemble:
    Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.

  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  6. Rest 10 minutes, then serve warm.
