Approximately 4–6 Points per serving (3 sandwiches)
Using reduced-fat cheese and light butter keeps Points lower.
Ingredients
-
24 reduced-fat Ritz-style crackers (to make 12 sandwiches)
-
6 slices 98–99% fat-free deli ham or turkey
-
6 slices reduced-fat Swiss or cheddar cheese
-
1 tablespoon light butter, melted
-
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
½ teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
-
½ teaspoon dried minced onion (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Assemble Sandwiches
Lay 12 crackers flat on the baking sheet.
Cut deli meat and cheese slices into quarters so they fit the crackers.
Layer meat and cheese onto each cracker, then top with remaining crackers to form sandwiches.
3. Make Light Topping
In a small bowl, mix:
-
Melted light butter
-
Dijon mustard
-
Worcestershire sauce
-
Poppy seeds and dried onion (if using)
4. Brush and Bake
Lightly brush the tops of each sandwich with the butter mixture.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and sandwiches are warmed through.
5. Serve
Serve warm. These are best fresh but can be reheated briefly in the oven or air fryer.
Tips to Lower Points Further
-
Use fat-free cheese slices
-
Use extra-lean turkey instead of ham
-
Skip the butter topping and lightly mist with cooking spray instead
-
Serve open-faced (1 cracker per sandwich)
Storage
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
-
Reheat at 300°F for 5–7 minutes to crisp crackers again.
